Batch Adsorption Process of Metals and Anions for Remediation of Contaminated Water

Dr Deepak Gusain: the author is assistant professor at Department of Environmental Studies in PGDAV (Evening) College, University of Delhi. He has completed his masters in environmental studies from University of Delhi. The author completed his Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi, followed by post-doctoral fellowship at Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology, Durban university of Technology. His Ph.D.  research focussed on  the remediation of chromium and cadmium from aqueous solution using nano-crystalline material. In addition to this, he investigated the effect of linear and non-linear curve fitting on estimation of isotherm and, kinetic and thermodynamic parameters during adsorption process.  Professor Faizal Bux - the author is a Professor and Director of the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology, Durban university of Technology. His affiliations also include Fellow of the International Water Association, Royal Society of Chemistry, Water Institute of Southern Africa and member of the Academy of Science of South Africa. He has won several national and international awards and published extensively.  The group of Faizal Bux works on wastewater treatment and reuse, wastewater beneficiation and health related microbiology, bioremediation, algal biotechnology and constructed wetlands.
