Eliza (Lida) Calvert Obenchain (1856-1935), who also wrote as Eliza Calvert Hall, was an American author, poet, essayist, and folk art historian. She was born and raised in Kentucky. Her family life was changed dramatically after her father's bankruptcy. In 1879, Scribner's magazine published two of her poems.
