Artificial Intelligence and Smart Agriculture Technology was created with the motivation of informing ab international audience about the latest technological aspects to develop smart agricultural applications. As Artificial Intelligence takes the main role in this, the majority of the chapters is associated with the role of Artificial Intelligence and data analytics components for better agricultural applications. The first two chapters provide alternative, wide reviews of using Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and Internet of Things for effective solutions to agricultural problems. The third chapter forwards the point of view to the use of blockchain technology in smart agricultural scenarios. Thanks to the fourth chapter, a future view is provided for Internet of Things oriented sustainable agriculture. Following to that, the fifth chapter comes with a governmental evaluation to the advanced farming technologies, and the sixth chapter discusses about the role of big data in smart agricultural applications. The role of blockchain is evaluated in terms of an industrial view under the seventh chapter, and the eight chapter provides a nice discussion of data mining and data extraction, which is essential for better further analysis by smart tools. The next, ninth chapter evaluated the use of machine learning for food processing and preservation, which is a critical issue to deal with issues regarding insufficient food sources. As following, the tenth chapter gives another point for sustainability, and the eleventh chapter focuses on the problem of plant disease prediction, which is among critical agricultural issues. As associated with the same issue, the next twelfth chapter considers the use of deep learning for classifying plant diseases. Finally, the book ends with a view on cyber threats in farming automation (with the thirteenth chapter) and a case study of India for a better smart, sustainable agriculture (with the fourteenth chapter). This reference presents the most critical research topics of today's smart agricultural applications. The book gives a valuable view for both technological knowledge and ability state to be known by academicians, scientists, students who are the future of science, and industrial practitioners collaborating with the academia.

Dr. Utku Kose is an Associate Professor in Suleyman Demirel University, Turkey. He has more than 100 publications including articles, books, proceedings, and reports. Surya Prasath, PhD, is a mathematician with expertise in the application areas of image processing and computer vision. He received his PhD in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. M. Rubaiyat Hossain Mondal, PhD is currently working as a Professor in the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Prajoy Podder is currently a researcher at the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Subrato Bharati is currently a researcher at the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
