Sea surface temperature (SST) play an important role in climate change, particularly natural hazards. Monitoring SST could help to prepare for upcoming sea induced hazard like the tropical cyclone. Studies found a positive correlation between SST and the intensity of tropical cyclones. Sher Muhammad is currently enrolled as a PhD student in the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research (ITP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Before joining ITP, he worked in the glaciers and Climate change division of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) between 2009 and 2014.
