Sheet metal forming is a common process to produce various sheet metal based products like cylindrical cups, square cups etc. It has various types of defects which can reduce product quality, but wrinkling is the most critical defect in sheet metal products. Flange wrinkling is very common problem in sheet metal form based products and this is due to undesirable deformation of sheet, thickness and compressive stresses.
