An ancient text we forget to acknowledge - The Indriya Sthana

¿ The Indriya Sthana of Caraka Samhita is an Authentic, Scientific and relevant AptopDesa, and hence no intelligent person should question its significance. ¿ It is very important to understand the Prakrti and Vikrti before studying the Arista. ¿ Though all the Arista Laksanas given in Indriya Sthana can not be examined by the modern parameters, still they are found in the patients and are quite significant. ¿ More the number of Arista in a person the more is the Nityatva (certainty) of Arista, therefore chances of fatality are more in cases with more number of Arista. ¿ The group of Arista Laksanas, related to Prana and Udana Vayu and Siras were found to be the more significant groups of Arista, as far as the Arista Laksana and fatality is concerned according the case study. ¿ The Arista related to Svasa and Murcha were observed in a higher proportion in both the type of Groups. ¿ Classifying Arista with different aspects helps in better understanding of prognosis of the patient. ¿ The Indriya Sthana has a major role in the field of medicine as it is very important for the Medico legal aspect of the field of medicine, as well as in planning a better treatment plan for the patient.
