A Surrealist Alphabet
An interest in the aesthetics of script as visual symbol has led the author to the study of ancient alphabets such as Sumarian, Egyptian, and Chinese. The author resided in Paris for a year and spent many hours in the Louvre. While in London he did research in the British Museum. Later inspirations came from visits to Bali, Egypt, and Istanbul, all places with many examples of beautiful scripts.
