3-D photorealistic mapping modeling & analyses of geological outcrops
An innovative system is created for annotating photos used for model construction while observing outcrops in the field or virtual 3-D models with a computer using an applet on a tablet (herein iPad). Geologic tracings can be converted into 3-D points (from the pixels) with a Matlab program so that geologic information such as strike/dip can then be determined and quantitatively analyzed. Über den Autor
Miao Wang was born in Nanjing, China. She received a Bachelor of Science (Hydrology) in 2004 and Master of Structural Geology in 2007 from Nanjing University. In August 2007 she enrolled in the University of Texas at Dallas and received a Master of Geospatial Information Sciences in 2010. Dr. Wang became Doctor of Geosciences in May, 2013
