Über den Autor
Prof Sachin Chaturvedi is Director General at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a think tank with the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs. He was also a Global Justice Fellow at the MacMillan Center for International Affairs at Yale University. His work chiefly focuses on issues related to development cooperation policies and South-South cooperation. He has also worked on trade and innovation linkages with a special focus on the WTO. He has served as a Visiting Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and has also worked as a Consultant to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, World Bank, UN-ESCAP, UNESCO, OECD, the Commonwealth Secretariat, IUCN, and the Government of India's Department of Biotechnology and Ministry of Environment and Forests. He has authored two books, edited four books, and published several research articles in various prestigious journals. Prof TC James is a Visiting Fellow at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), and President of NIPO, a non-profit Indian Intellectual Property Foundation. He is also a Member of the Speaker's Research Initiative and Guest Faculty on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, and Indian Academy of International Law and Diplomacy, New Delhi. He is a former Director (IPRs) of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and Member of the Academic Council, Shekhawati University, Sikar. He has served on Indian delegations to the WIPO and WTO and has been a Consultant (IPRs) to the FICCI and UNIDO. Dr Sabyasachi Saha has been an Assistant Professor at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) since May 2014. He joined the RIS as a full-time Consultant in March 2013, after completing his PhD in Economics (2013) at the Centre for International Trade and Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His main interests are in innovation and IPR, Industrial Policy, the WTO and Sustainable Development Goals. He has published his research in academic journals, working paper series, edited volumes, research reports and as policy briefs. He has also worked with premier academic institutions and think tanks in India as senior research staff. Ms Prativa Shaw has been a Research Assistant at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) since February 2015. She has contributed to various working papers and research reports on international trade and development. Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, as a Research Consultant under the Tax Administration Reform Commission from 2014 to 2015. During her tenure, she contributed to and co-authored three national reports. She received her Master's degree in Economics from Jadavpur University in 2011.
